EDG, Inc. Helps Set “The Standard”
Over the past few years, EDG has been working with a Major Oil and Gas Client to increase and improve upon existing standard facility designs included in their Permian Oil and Gas factory model. The scope of work the Unconventional Upstream Group is currently working on is focused on developing all fabrication and installation drawings, and complete 3D models packaged in a series of work packs for Central Tank Batteries, Rental Compressor Stations, Salt Water Disposal sites, and establishing new standard facilities including Satellite Separation Facilities and Large Capacity Compressor Stations.
The plan to create a design-one-build-many factory model has helped EDG’s clients improve execution efficiency and flexibility by modularizing the fabrication of packages and thus reducing the amount of field construction. EDG’s team of engineers has been able to improve production efficiency by making minor modifications to existing facilities to optimize the production based on the well characteristics where increased capacities for process equipment are cost advantageous to pave the way for drill-to-fill opportunities.
The quality of EDG’s Unconventional Upstream Group work has resulted in additional scope and has also brought EDG to help with this client’s Field Development and Concept Development teams to help with planning for future projects.
