The Community Service Team of the EDG, Inc. Metairie office would like you to consider participating in a Social Distancing Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Northshore Food Bank.
The world and our very own state of Louisiana is going through a tough time right now, and sudden economic shift had caused a strain on the food banks in our neighborhoods. If you have been looking for ways to help out, but didn’t know where to turn please consider the following options.
- Donate online to Second Harvest Food Bank or the Northshore Food Bank. For every $1 donated they are able to provide 4 meals!
- If you’re a gardener, consider dropping off the surplus produce you would normally share with coworkers at their drop off locations. These are greatly appreciated and recipients often don’t receive fresh produce.
- Add the most needed items to your grocery list and drop off at the drop off locations.
