EDG Metairie Second Harvest Food Drive

Our team continues the efforts of helping to provide for the less fortunate in our local community by participating in our annual canned food drive. This food drive benefits Second Harvest Food Bank – Feeding South Louisiana in their mission to lead the fight against hunger in south Louisiana through food distribution, advocacy, education, and disaster response in the community. In the summer months, school-age children across south Louisiana lose access to the food they typically receive during the school day. Consequently, families with young children visit many of Second Harvest partner agencies to replace those missing meals.
