WHAT: EDG Metairie Employee Bike Night
Bike Night happens on (14) Wednesday evenings between March and October at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale. The track is open for bicycles from 5-8 p.m. and you can ride around the 2.75-mile track as many or as few times as you like. You can stop for a break or for food any time you want. The event is open to the public and has about 20-30 cyclists out on the track at any one time. The track will have free bottled water and will sell beer, and there will also be a Copeland’s food truck on-site. On May 10th, EDG will pay for any employee and their family members to come out and ride and we will also host a tailgate with snacks and beverages just for us and our families.
NOLA Motorsports is a big, wide, flat racetrack. There is plenty of room for everybody of all skill and enthusiasm levels. From aspiring racers zipping around, to kids with training wheels, to casual peddlers, and everything in between. If we get a good turnout and people enjoy it, there is a good chance we could sponsor another Bike Night later in the season.
