EDG Partners with Second Harvest of South Louisiana for a Food Drive
Today, March 11, 2024, is the first day of the EDG, Inc. Metairie office Community Service Team canned food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank – Feeding South Louisiana. EDG is hosting this food drive to benefit Second Harvest of Greater New Orleans in their mission to lead the fight against hunger in south Louisiana through food distribution, advocacy, education and disaster response in the community. In the summer months, school age children across south Louisiana lose access to the food they typically receive during the school day. Consequently, families with young children visit many of Second Harvest partner agencies to replace those missing meals. Spring is a great time to take action in the fight against hunger!
From Monday, March 11th through Friday, April 12th, Metairie employees may bring in any items you wish to donate. A list of suggested items is on our ePortal intranet site. Bins will be located in the kitchens of the Lakeway One: 10th and 12th floors and Lakeway Two: 2nd and 10th floors.
