UPDATE 05/05/2023:  We had a very successful event and thank everyone for their support and participation!

EDG’s Community Service Team to Hold Canned Food Drive Benefitting Second Harvest of Greater New Orleans from March 20 through April 21, 2023.

Please join EDG’s Community Service Team in helping the less fortunate of our community by participating in our Canned Food Drive.  This food drive will benefit Second Harvest of Greater New Orleans in their mission to lead the fight against hunger in south Louisiana through food distribution, advocacy, education and disaster response in the community.  In the summer months, school-age children across south Louisiana lose access to the food they typically receive during the school day. Consequently, families with young children visit many of Second Harvest partner agencies to replace those missing meals.  Spring is a great time to take action in the fight against hunger!

From Monday, March 20 – Friday, April 21, 2023, bring in any items you wish to donate.  A list of suggested items is below and bins will be located in the kitchens of the 7th and 10th floors.

Additionally, on Friday, April 21 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., EDG will be volunteering at Second Harvest sorting items. We had a great time volunteering last year. Respond to the email received if you would like to sign up or for more information.  Details may also be found on ePortal.
