Alan Fotheringham Appointed General Manager of EDGA
EDG Consulting Engineers Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Fotheringham as its General Manager. Alan brings in excess of 30 years engineering, project delivery, commercial management and leadership experience. He has developed and executed strategies to enhance and grow technical services enterprises in the global energy, power and industrial sectors. Most recently he has held strategy and development roles with an emphasis on technology and innovation to bring together deep domain expertise with enabling technological applications.
Founded in 1982, EDG, Inc. is a global, privately-held company. It has firmly established itself as a leader in providing independent, innovative and technology enabled solutions. Formed in 2013 and located in Perth, Western Australia, EDG Australia Proprietary Limited (EDGA) was created to deliver a wide array of consulting engineering and design solutions to Chevron’s Australia Business Unit, and to extend the company’s operations to the Asia Pacific region. Alan reports to the CEO and Board and is responsible for leading the EDGA business through a period of growth in conjunction with the EDGA executive leadership team.
Alan holds dual citizenship of the UK and Australia. He graduated in Mechanical and Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and later successfully gained a post graduate in Engineering Management from Loughborough University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Bradford. He is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Association for Project Management.
