The History of Character By Design

1982: EDG was founded with a bold vision to create an engineering company that prioritizes a strong culture with emphasis on character.
1996: Launched Character by Design, a transformative initiative focused on cultivating integrity and personal development among employees, laying the foundation to guide and sustain the program’s growth throughout the company.
2007: Established Character Councils across offices to inspire positive change and foster employee engagement. A Character Steering Committee was also formed to guide and sustain the program’s implementation and growth company wide.
Today: With over four decades of dedication to character, EDG remains committed to nurturing a culture defined by integrity, professionalism, and enduring values.
