Substation Expansion for Industrial Customer
EDG, Inc. provided Project Management for substation expansion to accommodate additional load requirements (35 MV) of a nearby plant.
Project’s scope of work included:
- Adding a fourth transformer in order to maintain reliability and a fully redundant transformer arrangement.
- Building a new transformer bay and associated distribution main, feeders, and bus tie breaker.
- Installing the following 34.5 kV. equipment on the low side:

- Three (3) feeder breakers
- Bus tie breaker (operated in the normally open position)
