EDG took top honors at the annual Chevron/United Way Gumbo Cook-off, held November 8 in Lafayette, winning the People’s Choice Award out of 39 total entries. The EDG team prepared a delicious Inland Water’s Seafood Gumbo, which consisted of shrimp, crawfish, oysters, crab and other savory ingredients. It was such a hit with cook-off attendees that all 10 gallons were sold out before noon the day of the event. The weather cooperated beautifully, and Chevron raised even more money than in the previous year. A good time was definitely had by all.
