EDG’s Community Service Committee asked employees to donate to the Metropolitan Center for Woman and Children from August 10 to August 21. Donators contributed home essentials, such as: toilet papers, bed sheets, bath towels, paper goods, etc.

2 pillows
8 tissue boxes
2 packs cups
3 packs bowls/plates
The local Metro Shelter is capable of housing 15 women and children who are unable to continue living at home due to abuse. In most cases, the women requiring emergency shelter escape from their homes with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing. Once placed in the Metro Shelter, women are given a cozy bed, hot meals, counseling, and the assistance needed to take control of their own lives.
The Metropolitan Center for Women and Children (Metro) has been serving the Greater New Orleans Area since 1986.
