EDG Metairie participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk on October 10, 2009. This was the second year EDG donated and participated in the fight against breast cancer. EDG's Metairie Community Service Committee has chosen the Making Strides fundraiser as one of its yearly Community Service events, so you can count on seeing EDG employees walking the Walk for years to come.
To entice additional participation and contributions, EDG raffled several gift baskets and a LSU Tigereye Painting, which was donated by a North Shore artist, and also sold pink ribbon pins and popcorn. The Community Service Committee asked, and EDG Metairie employees opened their hearts and wallets. EDG raised $2,646 in donations, all going to the
American Breast Cancer Association.
