Sometimes it's the small things that make the biggest impact, like cute and comfortable socks to warm your feet when your holiday season has to be spent indoors. EDG employees collected socks to give to the children with cancer at Tulane Hospital and Children's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana as part of the Happy Feet program. Two EDG employees assisted a team of volunteers in Santa hats and reindeer ears to spread the cheer and distribute the warm gifts on December 18, 2009.
Over 329 pairs of socks were collected and $300 were donated for the cause. The socks were individually seperated in air tight bags to prevent the spread of germs. All monetary donations were spent on DVDs for the movie library at Children's hospital.
A very sincere thank you goes out to everyone who helped make Happy Feet a success for the second year -- THANK YOU!
