In 175 feet of water, Tchatamba West "C" uses a single well to produce at 8,000 BOPD with the assistance of an electric submersible pump. Produced fluids flow to Tchatamba Marin Platform "A" via a five-mile pipeline.
Electrical power is received from Platform "A" via a subsea power cable. EDG provided a minimal structure design concept to minimize fabrication, transportation and installation costs and an electrical building for housing the motor control center, the PLC-based control system and the variable frequency drive unit for the submersible pump. EDG provided engineering and design of the structure, facilities, electrical/control systems, and pipeline; project management, controls, and scheduling; procurement and expediting; construction; transportation and installation planning; commissioning and startup. The project received a best practical facilities front-end loading index from Independent Project Analysis, Inc. (IPA)
