EDG Inc. provided detailed engineering design, project management, and procurement services for the installation of a new 220 MMSCFD production train on Shell’s “ Ram-Powell” tension leg platform located in 3,200 feet of water. The project included the addition of a 16” production manifold, intermediate-high pressure three-phase separator, suction scrubber skid, Solar Mars 100 turbine-compressor package, three air coolers, a cooler platform, and a deck extension. All equipment required integration into the existing facility without any prior allocation of space for the upgrade. In addition, the project included modularizing all equipment for installation using the existing platform cranes saving the cost and risks associated with use of a derrick barge or rental crane
