Central Field Gas Compression "Bagre"

Scope included installation of a 12,000-hp Mars 100- driven multi-body tandem compressor including a power generator on the existing Bagre "A" platform. The modification design challenges included restricted deck space on the existing structure and limited reserve structural capacity. Project scope also included the modification of two satellite platforms for gas lift/gas-injection as well as adding a new 10-inch bulk production pipeline and converting a six-inch bulk production pipeline to gas-lift/gas-injection service. EDG provided complete engineering and modification design of the compressor, ancillary equipment, gas distribution system, power generation and an accommodations building addition. Services included project management, procurement, project controls and scheduling; construction management including transportation; installation, hook-up and commissioning planning and coordination.
