Project description:
Two subsea wells in Ewing Bank Block 963 (Arnold) in 1,800 feet of water are tied back to the Ewing Bank 873 "A" Platform via dual 6" insulated flowlines. A three-level production module measuring approximately 105’x 25’ was added to the platform to process the Arnold production. EDG designed 20,000 bopd / 20 mmscfd production facilities consisting of a 6617 psig design pipeline risers and pigging system, four vertical centrifugal degassing vessels, a vertical shell & tube heat exchanger, a production separator and a separator hydrocyclone. Additional module equipment designed for 50,000 bopd included a plate and frame heaters, a combination electrostatic oil treater and oil storage tank, and plate and frame coolers. Platform additions included larger heat medium pumps and an additional LACT charge pump. Subsequent equipment additions were made to the Ewing Bank 873 "A" Platform to increase overall production capacity from the original design of 35,000 bopd to over 72,000 bopd. Additions included a larger LP Relief Scrubber, a second flare tip, a third sales gas compressor, a second vapor recovery unit, and a fourth 1000 hp pipeline pump.
